To Manage a team, contact the league VP to see if there is a need.  Managers continuing on from the previous year with the same team are given preference in most cases.  Managers moving up a league are given preference in most cases.  Sometimes it is necessary to combine teams.

Requirements:

  • Managers must pass a background check (no cost)
  • Be approved by the SYB Board.  The Board meets the first and third Mondays of the month.  This process ensures that every team has a Manager and enough coaches. 
  • Complete an online concussion training (This is State Law)  http://nfhslearn.com/courses/61037/concussion-in-sports

Enter Ohio and then go to the bottom of the page that looks like the below and complete the Concussion in Sports Course then print the certificate and send to the League VP

This takes about 20-30 minutes.   

 

Remember the Managers are volunteers, they are trying to help your player become a better player and teammate as well as teach sportsmanship and the value of hard work.  Please help them when they ask!
